Welcome to Andy’s house! Can you guess what’s inside? Parents and little ones are invited to gather round as a simple cardboard box unfolds into a haven of blazing colors, marvelous textures, shapes and sounds. Created with care for the youngest of theater-goers and presented in a New 42nd Street Studio for an audience of only 25, this gentle and intimate one-man show is the perfect first-time theatrical experience.

“A charmingly simple and quirky piece. Deeply silly, yet enchantingly accessible to toddlers.”

Andy Manley in association with Starcatchers: As an actor, creator and director for young audiences, Andy Manley has been involved with many Scottish children’s theater companies. Starcatchers explores the development and creation of theater for babies and young children (0-3 years old) and their parents or caregivers. The first of its kind in Scotland, it launched in October 2006 and engaged Andy Manley and Vanessa Rig to undertake the first phase of the project, during which they tested their ideas in workshops at local child care programs. These first productions were a great success, engaging local audiences and inspiring artists to work with a new demographic. When the pilot initiative ended in 2008, Starcatchers joined Imaginate.

The New Victory Scottish Festival is made possible through funding from the
Scottish Government’s Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund and the Bank of Scotland Imaginate Festival.
